A note written at the restaurant is marked Verified. Writing from home still works — it just carries no badge.

Good in June, bad in July. Both notes are kept, and the dish shows how many times you have been.
No account
No email, no password. A username and nothing else, kept in your keychain so a reinstall does not lose you.
Why a restaurant rating is the wrong unit
A restaurant’s star average is every plate on the menu averaged together. A kitchen that does two things brilliantly and eight things badly lands in the same place as one that is uniformly fine. The average hides exactly the information you needed.
Worse, it does not survive the moment you sit down. You already chose the restaurant. The question in front of you is the menu, and no star rating answers it.

- You do not eat a restaurant. You eat a plate.
- Do I need an account?
- No. No email, no password. You pick a username on first launch and it lives in your device keychain, so deleting the app does not lose it.
- How does the menu scanning work?
- Photograph the menu. Items, descriptions and prices are read in and added to the restaurant, grouped by the menu’s own sections.
- What does the Verified badge mean?
- Your phone was at the restaurant when you wrote it. Writing from anywhere else still counts; it simply has no badge. Location is never required to write.
- Are reviews public?
- Yes, every note can be read by anyone using the app. What you control is whose notes you read.
- What does it cost?
- Nothing.
